This really does work.

All that did was make me more grumpy and discouraged.

Honestly, that was the last thing I wanted to do. But I did it anyway.

I started small — my home, my husband, my good kids, food to eat, the beauty of nature around me. And as I thought about those blessings, something amazing happened. My frustration began to ease. My heart softened.

After a while, the problems that had felt so heavy didn’t seem so daunting. They became more manageable. I felt peace.
